The Celtic Healing Logo – why is it a Heartagram?
The Heartagram is a combination of a heart and an inverted pentagram and is used as a logo associated with the Finnish band H.I.M (His Infernal Majesty) and many fans have it as a tattoo design. It is said it symbolises opposites – love and hate, life and death.
The Heartagram is based on the Pentagram, the symbol of the four elements: earth, air, fire and water, and the fifth element of ether or spirit. Some people think it has Satanic links due to the inverted pentagram. However, the design is really only inverted to fit the two rounded shapes of the heart at the top with the point at the bottom, nothing to do with Satanic links. It has been described as a sort of Yin-Yang symbol with the inverted pentagram standing for evil and darkness and the heart for goodness and light…parts of all of us and our struggles in life.
I have chosen the logo of a Heartagram with Wings, because it was one of the drawings of a tattoo design in my Son’s sketchbook that he did before he died. It is only because of Kyle that I am on the journey I am now taking and I feel he has guided me to start Celtic Healing. So in researching celtic designs for my logo I remembered the sketch and decided that it felt right to use it and honour his contribution.
So my interpretation of Kyle’s drawing….. is that it represents the unity and balance of our relationship…..the unconditional love he and I shared as well as the difficulties and differences that any mother and son encounter…..the balance in life between good and evil, light and dark, love and hate, day and night, Yin and Yang, life and death. It represents the 4 elements, Earth, Air, Fire and Water and the fifth being Spirit….all of which guide my practise at Celtic Healing. The angel wings are obvious….his assention into the light and his call to me to explore my psychic gifts and communicate with Spirit.
